This metal tower with a beacon dates back to 1936. Before the light was automated in 1972, the lightkeeper operated it remotely from a brickhouse on the shore. For those that have seen the Wisconsin Lighthouses, this tower should be familiar as it consists of the same design as the one in Port Washington. Huron, OH
